The Ziller valley is world renowned for its abundance of snow and its skiing areas. The Hotel Kohlerhof is situated right next to the valley station of the Spieljoch ski area, and its valley run ends right at our doorstop. The extensive ski area Hochfügen – Hochzillertal offers 39 state of the art lifts and 88 kilometres of perfectly groomed and colour-coded slopes The Hintertux glacier promises snow all year round. It is Austria’s only ski resort open 365 days a year. Also, the glaciers own Nature’s Ice Palace, gives you the opportunity to discover a glacial crevasse. Afterwards you can relax and unwind at our wellness area and enjoy our indoor adventure pool.
There are plenty of reasons for you to spend your summer holiday in the Ziller valley. Year after year, actively celebrated customs like the cattle driving ceremony and various other cultural highlights draw tourists to the valley. The Zillertal also offers an abundance of sights, including the ErlebnisSennerei Zillertal Dairy, and the Zillertalbahn railway. Apart from the Ziller valley there’s plenty to see and do in the Tyrol region. Numerous attractions are waiting to be explored, like the Swarovski Crystal Worlds, or the historic centre of Innsbruck with the world famous golden roof. The mountains however are the true highlight, and offer plenty of activities for families and mountaineers. A lot of the gondolas and rope ways operate in summer, and offer hikers and climbers the opportunity quickly and easily reach the summit.
