Also, there’s a practice slope right in front of the Hotel Kohlerhof. The Spieljoch Cable Car is in close proximity and ready to take you up the mountain. The modern 10-person gondola lift takes you to the ski area in just a few minutes. The ski resort in Fügen stretches from an altitude of 630 metres at the bottom to the Onkeljoch mountain at 2,050 metres above sea.
The Spieljoch ski area offers more than 8 lifts and cable cars, and 19 kilometres of pistes. There are only blue and red slopes, which are not very difficult, and therefore suitable for families and beginners. With a total length of 7 kilometres, Fügen has the longest snow-covered valley run of the Zillertal. On top of that, it ends right in front of the Hotel Kohlerhof! Afterwards you can head to the Pizz Pub for some après-ski fun.
Your ski pass is not only valid for the Spieljoch ski area, but also for the Hochfügen ski resort, which can be easily reached. There is a free ski bus from the valley station of the Panoramabahn Geols to the ski Hochfügen Hochzillertal ski resort. Enjoy a true winter wonderland. Hochzillertal offers you the opportunity to ski on 2,500 metres above sea level. Skiers and snowboarders can choose from 39 modern and fast lifts, with a total capacity of up to 63,000 persons per hour, ensuring short waiting times. Every winter sports enthusiast will be spoilt for choice. The Hochfügen Hochzillertal ski area, located in the upper Ziller valley, offers 88 kilometres of perfectly groomed and colour-coded slopes, ranging from blue beginner-friendly pistes to challenging black slopes. If you do not want to ski on pistes, you will find a varied terrain of unspoiled slopes with pristine powder.
