A hiking holiday at the Kohlerhof makes the heart of mountaineers beat faster. Hiking opportunities in the Zillertal are as versatile as the valley itself. The beautiful Tyrolean mountains are waiting to be explored, with numerous hiking tracks, starting right at your doorstep. For a less strenuous ascent, the Spielbergjoch Cable Car can take you to the mountain top quickly and easily. Our reception team happily recommends hiking routs in the Zillertal.
Alternatively, you can enjoy one of our guided hiking tours. These include a guided tour along the barefoot trail to the Spieljoch mountain or an energetic walk to our “Romantikpark” romantic gardens. Fügen and the surrounding area offer an abundance of hiking opportunities – almost to many for one holiday. How about a 3-hours hike from Fügen to the “Kohleralmhof” mountain inn which offers a breathtaking view? Or a relaxed circular walk from the Spieljoch mountain station to the “Geolshütte” hut and back?
More than 1,400 kilometres of well marked hiking trails for all levels are waiting to be explored. Numerous trails and paths offer you access to the magnificent three-thousander mountains. The Spieljoch Cable Car is not the only Cable Car of the Ziller valley. A total of 11 mountain railways and cable cars are the perfect base for a relaxing hiking holiday with your family. The mountains around the Ziller valley offer more than 150 huts, mountain pastures and mountain restaurants serving local delicacies. After an energizing break, you can easily conquer the summit. The hiking buses, which run through the Ziller valley, take you to the starting point of your tour and back.
